music can change the world

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

What Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Mozart have in common? What they have in common with almost every other artist, that creativity has changed the world?
Elvis – that famous and fateful day in Sun Studios in Memphis he let go and put it all together … blues, country, gospel and regional factors are influenced in his youth met in rockabilly, rock & roll, which had not previously heard. Elvis on Sullivan also met the new music form and the new medium – television in new ways has influenced generations of rock icons that they get their first guitar.

Bob Dylan … They pulled the plug on his show when he had the courage to bring electric instruments, drums and a Backbeat of folk music and protest. But Dylan had his vision of his music and was influenced by Woody Guthrie in it, but the last decade of rock and roll and other influences .. combined forms of popular music in new ways.

The Beatles … well have the world on fire with their style and their hair cut and everything else. The Beatles on Ed Sullivan – still one of the great moments in rock history of television. Mozart? Well, watch this great film, Amadeus, and you will understand better than I can explain.

Another may be mentioned here is Johnny Cash. Johnny Cash has broken down barriers to communication and artistic styles, and not only knocked down these barriers, but he showed why it is important to do so. Cash’s music contains many elements together for the first few times in different parts of his career.

So the point …? If you want to make music that does not change the world, only the last kid on the block, the last rapper in the hood, the newest rock club in Backstreet. The derivation of the word “art” really means … to unite. The world needs great artists. Start!
